Story #1 (unfinished)
It only took one jerking movement with his arms to know something was wrong. Slowly he opened his eyes from his sleep and looked up at the corners of the headboard. He noticed the thin, but strong rope looped around his wrist and connected to the posts of the king sized bed. It wasn’t almost instantly what had gotten to this position. Then a slightly pull of his legs - he knew he was trapped to this bed.
“Oh Lord.” he muttered as he tried to get his eyes to focus on his predicament. He was alone tied to a hotel bed and only have a comforter covering his nakedness. Now he needed a plan to escape.
Escape. He thought. He had to escape his own stupidity as he was he reason he was there. Seconds later he heard a sharp knock on the door with the words ‘Room Service’ in a soft Mexican voice.
He wet his dry lips and cried out ‘no Thank you.’ he responded. It must have been late because he turned his head to see a small, olive skinned women begin to enter the room carrying a vacuum cleaner while wearing a traditional maid outfit. When their eyes locked he noticed the red blush over her face.
“Oh I am sorry. I come back later.” she said breaking contact.
“Wait! I need you’re help to get me free. Please.”
As soon as the door was closed the maid whose named tag read ROSA began trying to undo the knots in the rope.
“Should I also call the police?”she asked freeing one of his wrists.
“No!” he shouted a little louder than he expected. He didn’t need everyone to know what happened to him. As soon as his other wrist was free he began working on his ankles. “It was just a little that got out of hand.” he added.
“Someone left you here like this?” she asked shocked.
“Not to worry - I have it under control now.” he said beginning to wrap sheets around his waist and headed towards the bathroom grabbing a pair of disregarded jeans from the floor.
“I’m going to clean the room.” she cried out. In a hurry Chris slipped on his jeans minus his underwear. He will deal with that issue at a later time. Carefully he zipped up the jeans and button at the top.
“yea. Yea okay.” he said slipping back out and began searching the room and gathering other clothing and grabbed some keys from the desk area. “I have to leave.” he mumbled as she left out the door.
At the elevator Chris jammed the down button so hard he was sure he was in danger of breaking of the button.
“Think Chris.” he mumbled running his his through his dark, curly hair. “Where did she go?”
“Excuse me sir.” the clerk in the lobby called out after seeing him heading for the exit. “I was asked to give you this.” she added quickly turning around and pulled out a yellow envelope from the mail slot behind her.
Within a few steps he approached the counter and took the envelope with a head nod. Slowly he lifted the flap and read the note.
‘Thanks for the memories babe.’
Chris exited through the sliding doors and began pressing his car alarm to locate his Ford Taurus car. The beep lead him to the silver car with another envelope under the windshield wiper. He gripped it off and opened it.
